Yeh, I'll tell you what, they love the Eggles

My Philly trip is coming to an end soon. I wish I were staying longer! There's still so much to do and so little time to do it! It's kind of my fault for sleeping in and stuff but it's so hard being on Cali time and all. I've been having tons of fun so far visiting the sights and meeting the fam. I pretty much met all the important family that I always hear about and they've all been so nice.

I haven't seen everything yet, but I guess I will have to do that another trip. Tom and his mom gave me a tour of their area. Nearby is Washington's Crossing where he crossed the Delaware and there's a park around it where they have colonial houses and they do reenactments on special occasions and stuff. We also went to the Nature Center, Tom's favorite place as a young'n. We've gone to different restaurants and stuff in the area and I have eaten water ice at Rita's three nights in a row. It's kind of like slushees but even more awesome.

On our first day here after all the hometown stuff, we went downtown and Tom showed me a bunch of places. We walked around South Street (love it) and went to see his college in the arts district. Then we began our drunken adventure with his pals. It started at Oscar's where the beers are like two glasses high and the liquor in their cocktails is extremely generous, especially when on an empty stomach. I had three extremely strong cocktails and almost couldn't see afterwards. The next place I kept forgetting the name of but it involves dogs. I sat that one out and ate a burger. Then we went to another bar I don't know the name of where the drinking resumed and from what I remember, a tranny began to karaoke. Another friend joined the party and there was some more drinking. We walked over to Rittenhouse Square and found some lawn chairs, which in our state seemed like a great idea. We proceeded to sit down on them in the fountain pond thing and hung out there for a while. I believe I was extremely friendly at this point and kept inviting Tom's friends to stay with us in California when they come out. Haha. Then it was off to the next bar, Drinkers, which kicked us out for a lame reason. Apparently, me going in to the bathroom to help Tom clean up his mysterious cut on his finger was equivalent to me getting preyed upon by him and the guy at the door wouldn't have it so he followed us until we left. Tom's friends were not happy so they all up and left with us and then a scene was made at the door. Valid points were made and unheard. My first bar removal incident. That one is going into the memory book. We hit up one more place after that where I had yet another brewski and then we all parted ways. Tom and I went to see his old apartment building and hung out on the rooftop for a little bit. It was so nice up there :) Perfect. After that, we were on our way but Tom was hungry so we stopped at my new favorite place, Wawa. They have saved my butt on more than one occasion. I had to go so bad from all that alcohol and the restroom isn't open to customers but the manager kindly let me go and I wanted to give her the biggest hug but that would've been awkward and maybe too much pressure on my bladder. <3 Wawa. Then we narrowly escaped death by parents because we had a nub cop. Phew.

We went downtown again yesterday and biked around. Biking to the train station sucked majorly and I was so unhappy because my bike was too tall and I thought I was going to get killed and I am just too out of shape! But after we got to town and got the bike lowered, I was ok again. I'm just a big baby sometimes. :P So we saw the Liberty Bell, passed by Independence Hall and went to the Museum of Art and went up the steps Rocky went up. Also, we got ripped off buying water from the Rocky Water Ice guy. We went to Chinatown later and walked around a bit. Then we ate dinner at a place called Kingdom of Vegetarian which was highly recommended by my co-worker. It is amazing how meat-like people can make from vegetarian things! There was this really good shrimp that was made out of something that was definitely not seafood but yum! It's pretty legit food but let's just say the crowd it draws is not quite Chinese, probably because there aren't a whole lot of vegetarian Chinese people in the area but I did not regret my decision one bit! The service was amazing and their homemade iced tea was so goooood, just like the Vitasoy boxed kind but fresh! While we were in there it began "teeming" and so riding the bikes was kind of out of the question. We decided to go home since it was getting late anyway and once again, Wawa was able to save me because it had no-surcharge ATMs. Yay!

Anywho, we're off to New York tomorrow and I must get to bed. Just wanted to share with you how much fun I'm having on this trip so far! :] By the way, there are all kinds of cute little villages in Tom's area that are all fun and boutique-filled. Wahhh!
